  Fishing for Championship Salmon, Walleye, Steenhead and other species on the Oswego and nearby Salmon Rivers is known around the World.

  Oswego fishermen are only minutes away from boat launches, hotels, restaurants, and downtown amenities. Many Salmon are caught in Oswego around the Varik dam area, a quarter of a mile from Oswego Harbor, as they migrate upstream.

  Oswego provides direct public access to fishing areas from major roadways including Routes 48, 104, and I-481.

  Concrete walkways and railing lines are found on both sides of the river, and allow convenient access to both anglers and walkers, complete with riverside parking, restrooms, and a fish cleaning areas.
